The Rolling Freakshows

I've been on many San Francisco buses, trams, and metros... but I have never been on a bus after 10pm here, and let me tell you, AVOID IT AT ALL COSTS! It was surreal!!! This city really needs to start cleaning it self up, even if only a little bit. The homeless problem here is really getting out of hand, and it seems as though the city has no plans for a remedy.

I was eating cheescake (Dulce De Leche) from The Cheescake Factory by a park with a few friends, and after we were done, this guy came along and asked us if he could have the rest. We gave it to him, and he started scooping up the whipped cream with his fingers and licking them... when my friend tried to get one more bite of cheescake, he growled at her!!

Stupid English And Purposeless Images

I fucking HATE english
I hate knowing only english and spanish.... Cause spanish is pretty much fucking useless everywhere in europe except spain, and english just makes you look like a fucking dumb(ASS) american.

I ask for half a kilo of pastries at a bakery, in english (please forgive me for not knowing hungarian, the hardest fucking language in the world) and I get the worst looks, as if I just killed a new born child in front of its mother while using the lord's name in vain and reciting the greek alphabet backwards.
EXCUSE ME, but im NOT like every other idiot. I know another language, english just happens to be the common language that most people use to communicate.

The Woods

Went to Muir Woods today, and it was awesome! Very peaceful, and there's trees there that are like 1200 years old!! The only thing that REALLY sucked was that I think I had a bad blueberry muffin this morning, and I felt sick ALL day. Light-headed, dizzy, stomach ache, you name it.

The day got better though, since I got to see A Silver Mt. Zion Memorial Orchestra And The Tra-La-La Band!!! They put on a FANTABULOUS show. Check'em out if you haven't heard of them.

Life In Comics

Well, spent the better part of yesterday on the computer and playing video games.... a very productive day.

I also discovered a little app called Comic Life, and I'm addicted. It's basically a program that lets you use your own photos to make comic-style albums. This is what I mean

And let's see... Tomorrow we have visitors again for about 4 days. I can't wait to get the ball rollin' here!

At The Poop Scene

So last night we went to this club in butt-fuck Egypt. I'm so used to a completely different club scene that this place really struck me as kinda odd, but it was a lot of fun. I wasn't too happy with the whole "gotta pay a $5 cover," but whatever. We ended up consuming quite a bit of alcohol...

Baraka On 70mm

So today I got to see Baraka IN THE THEATER!!! It was a 70mm print, so it was awesome. I was walking around town on a wild goose chase with Ashleigh for her last paycheck, passed the theater, and BOOM, there it was.



We had Falafel for dinner... along side with some Chimi Churri.... if you know what that is, you know that it is HEAVEN!

All visitors are gone! For the next week its just me and roomies.... Then on Sunday, the visitors return.

As far as my sickness goes, I am down to my last two pills!!! And I DO feel better... I think it is finally GONE!!!
Also can't wait to check out the dark room studio tomorrow, and make some bad-ass prints!

Beer And Pot

Last night went to a huge party in Berkley and got drunk off of the 3 (free) kegs they had. Surprisingly they were NOT Coors Light or Bud Light, which rocked. Saw some crazy people, wierd people, lame bands, and a girl in a banana costume. Then ended up taking a cab home, and I live IN San Francisco, which means crossing over the bridge, which means a $40 cab ride. Nontheless, it was fun... check it:









Also, we took the day to shoot unbelievable amounts of BW 35mm and medium format. Sunday we're going to develop the film and the prints ourselves... hopefully I didn't fuck them all up because I'm no good at f-stop/shutter speed settings. We'll see.

Party Time!

Went to this party last night. I didn't get that drunk, but I DID get dissed by a cute girl... which was probably the highlight of the night. Going to some other wild party tonight in Berkley which will include the following: booze, drugs, sex, midgets, Fabio, circus ants, and Kyle's mom.

The Low Down

Forgot to mention, the other day I was at Kate Obrian's pub with Kyle and Mike, having a few Guinesses, and on the big screen there was a Liverpool/Manchester United match on... Ah, the good old England days.

This weekend will be spent taking loads of pictures in black and white. I, for one, have chosen the Yashica Mat-124, 120 medium film camera... The film is HUGE and the prints come out SUPER sharp. Lets just hope I can figure out the whole Aperture/ISO stuff so I don't fuck up all three rolls I have.

Xanadu!

Went to this park tonight to catch a public flick called Xanadu. Probably the most ridiculous movie I've ever seen... and I saw it stoned. It's a Sci Fi disco movie, somehow involving the daughter of Zeus....

Today's Events, With Sex

I'm counting down the pills until I finish this friggin' antibiotics thing... I need to get drunk and have a cigarette!!

Went to SFSU today to check out/familiarize myself with the campus and to check out where my classrooms are. During this epic adventure I took some pictures. I also ran into several people talking to themselves at the local Rite Aid. Oh and Kyle decided that while I would check out the text book store for the books I needed, he would get a book on sexual techniques and on how to please women... he read it pretty much from cover to cover....

The First Days

Well, it's now been a few days since I've arrived here in this crazy city that is San Francisco...
I'm still getting used to everything, cause even though I've been here plenty of times, this time I know I'm not going back south. I'm here for good. So of course it just feels different.

Today I'm going to SFSU to see how long it takes me to get there and to find my classrooms, blahblahblah.
